What is a Victim Survey?

Victim Surveys are surveys that are given to a wide range of the population that ask them to confess to a crime they have been a victim of. People are interviewed and asked to talk about the types of crimes that have been committed against them.

There is a chance that when collecting data from the victim survey, that the people who have participated will lie, whether it’s to cover up that something has happened to them or to exaggerate the truth. Another problem that could occur with victim surveys is that some victims cannot be questioned therefore giving some sections unreliable statistics.
